JOHN G. RICH

John G. Rich is a partner of the law firm of Rich & Intelisano, LLP. He has been practicing securities litigation law in New York for over 23 years. He represents individual and institutional investors in securities arbitration and litigation against financial institutions. He represents commodities investors as well as employees in industry disputes. He prosecutes claims against brokerage firms, banks, hedge funds, investment advisors and other financial professionals. He also represents clients in commercial arbitrations before the AAA. He formed Rich & Intelisano, LLP in 2003 with Ross B. Intelisano.

Mr. Rich has extensive experience in large and complex securities and commodities fraud cases on behalf of investors worldwide. He was co-trial counsel in the Blumenfeld, et. al v. Refco commodities fraud case, a $100 million Ponzi scheme. The 100-day arbitration on behalf of a group of 13 individual and corporate investors who lost a combined $35 million, generated a $43 million award in 2001. It remains the largest collected arbitration award ever rendered on behalf of investors against a brokerage firm.

Mr. Rich was co-counsel representing a large investor in connection with court proceedings against Frank Gruttadauria, Lehman Brothers and S.G. Cowen, regarding the massive securities fraud perpetrated by Gruttadauria which came to light in 2002.

Mr. Rich began practicing securities and general commercial litigation at Davis Polk & Wardwell in 1981, and was in private litigation practice from 1990 to 1995. From 1995 to August 2003, when Rich Intelisano LLP was formed, Mr. Rich was of counsel to the law firm of Eppenstein and Eppenstein, were he tried multi-million dollar securities and commodities arbitrations.

Mr. Rich has been quoted in Barron's on mismanagement of investments by banks, and has lectured on International Securities Arbitration at the Institute for International Studies.

Mr. Rich was born in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1955. He received his law degree from the University of Utah College of Law in 1981, where he was Editor-In-Chief of the Law Review and a member of the Order of the Coif. He received a B.A. from Santa Clara University in 1978, cum laude.

Mr. Rich is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, Public Investors Arbitration Bar Association, and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1982, U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York (1982), and Eastern District of New York (1983).
